I find painting colored pencil paintings of cats to be a little more challenging than other animals.  Their fur many times has many colors and shades feathered close together that creates a specific pattern unique to each cat.  While painting the fur pattern a fluffiness of the fur must be portrayed also in most breeds of cats.

Honey is a ginger colored domestic cat with big yellow-green eyes.  Doing a colored pencil painting of her was a little easier.  Her fur went from a variation of light and dark ginger colors with white areas.  Her large eyes were fun to paint.
